Hours of Operation: From 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM - 5 Day a week.
Age groups served: Canal Child Care Center provides preschool and after school care for children ages 3 to 6 years. Children must be potty trained.
Services provided:
- A sophisticated and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Well trained bilingual staff qualified and caring with experienced teachers and assistants in education and child development.
- Provides healthy wholesome nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Bi-yearly cognitive, physical, emotional and social assessments conducted by qualified staff.
- Tutorial support with home work and academic needs.
- Family support Services providing educational and social activities.
- Resource and Referral for children and parents.
- Advocacy for parents and children with Schools and community agencies.
- Summer Youth job training program.
- Environmental education program.
- Involvement of the community, volunteers and business.
- Dental cleaning, x-rays, and follow-ups with referrals sponsored by Marin County Oral Health Project.
- Supervised playground activities are provided with emphasis on hand eye and gross motor skill development.
- Staff are trained in CPR and First Aid.
- Opportunities for volunteers.
