Bolinas Children’s Center
The Center offers a parent-participation program, and a pre-school program for children from 2½ to 5 years old. Extended afternoon child care is also available for children 2½ to 10 years old. The program emphasizes cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. It encourages the development of intellectual skills as well as addressing the balance between self-identity and learning to relate to a group, to other children, and to adults. The Center works closely with the local school district to provide a seamless transition between pre-school and kindergarten.
The Bolinas Children’s Center encourages parent participation and provides numerous volunteer opportunities including working in the classroom, helping to maintain the outdoor environment and assisting with fund development and administrative activities. The Center enjoys a high level of community support, both from volunteers and local funders.
